In 2019 UNC Greensboro and NC A&T State University were awarded a NSF grant to create the Gate City Research Network (gcrNet). Come learn what a Science DMZ is, why it is useful for researchers, and some of the unique challenges in building a network that spans two universities. The presentation will include an overview of the NSF project, key components including perfSonar and the Data Transfer Node, and the impact that COVID-19 had on the project.
