The presentation will begin by displaying a postcard depicting a vision of the year 2000. Participants will use Google Jamboard or the Zoom chat feature to answer the questions, what does the postcard reveal about our philosophy of student engagement? What digital adaptions are necessary for the 21st-century learner? The outcomes of the presentation will consist of the following: Recall why digital literacy is necessary for career advancement, describe the Adobe Creative Campus program for higher education institutions, illustrate the Adobe Spark application, and demonstrate how we are using Adobe Spark on our campus to impact how faculty teach and students learn. The demonstration will include Adobe Spark examples designed by future K-12 educators, current nursing faculty, and faculty developers at our institution. Last, the presentation will conclude with a compelling quote about the importance of digital literacy from Cathy N. Davidson’s (2017) book, The New Education.
