There are many ways to handle the influx of IT project requests, and the expectation is that IT will undertake as many as possible, given the available resources. However, many of us have realized that requests will perpetually exceed the resources we can dedicate to the work.
This panel will discuss how WCU has changed its project process to include a more robust and meaningful project intake process, to sequence the project requests across campus in alignment with division and university priorities, and to tweak and tighten processes to ensure the successful completion of each project activated. We will also touch on our post-project practices, designed to assess the effectiveness of the project as implemented, and the ROI-VOI gained.
