SIG Meeting at the Annual UNC CAUSE conference.
The IT-Gov SIG was formed to promote discussion of IT Policy and Governance issues among UNC Cause participants. The SIG will address broad issues pertaining to IT governance and policy, prioritized according to the interests of SIG participants. Governance topics will include IT strategy, decision-making, prioritization, and resource allocation, including how to form, lead and work with university-wide committees with governance responsibilities. Examples of focus areas include IT project prioritization and resource allocation, data governance and data management. Regarding IT policy, the group will share knowledge on types and scope of IT policies, policy content, and best practices for procedures to support policy.
SIG is short for
Special Interest Groups. These groups are comprised of individuals from UNC CAUSE member institutions that share a common interest around a topic or technology that is prevalent across institutions.
