Mika is passionate about personalized learning and connecting digital tools to High Impact Educational Practices (HIPs) in order to graduate digitally competent students. Mika previously worked as a K12 English teacher and School Library Media Specialist in Houston ISD and Guilford County Schools. Prior to joining UNCG ITS Learning Technologies, she worked as an Instructional Technologist at Elon Law. In 2016, she moved to the position of Digital Pedagogy and Scholarship Technologist at Guilford College, where she currently holds the role of Instructor in the department on Education Studies. 
Mika holds a BS in English, a MLIS in Library Science and an MS in Instructional Design.
